WELCOME TO A REGULAR GATHERING FOR MEDICAL HERBALISTS

For practitioners, retired herbalists and students of Medical Herbalism. Let’s chat herbs, drink tea, unravel case conundrums, walk in nature and iron-out business wrinkles.

Hello! We are the Herbalist’s Collaborative. My name is Lucy Blunden and I set up a group because I really wanted to have Herbal colleagues. Folk who do what I do, no matter that we all do it differently, as we all have something fundamental in common; our love of Medical Herbalism.

I have joined with Jo Farren, Shani Crofton and Vasanti Limbani to create the Herbalist’s Collaborative.

Our meets are every 2 months and usually on 2nd Sunday of the month. This is an opportunity to talk herbs, be in company with other herb fans and the plants, share case conundrums and find joy in the connection which comes from a shared passion.

Our 3-hours together will be divided as follows:

  • Hour 1: Welcomes and Ironing out business conundrums

  • Hour 2: Explore the wild medicinal herbal bounty on the farm, share snacks and the Spotlight session

  • Hour 3: Share case studies

We will be at the beautiful eco build venue called The Croft on Mulberry Bush Farm, Moor Lane, Sarratt so the contribution to costs is:

  • £80 per person for all meets EARLY BIRD **see below for further details

  • £15 during 2 weeks before event

  • £20 (cash only) on the door

We will have access to 2 meeting rooms, a smaller therapeutic space, the kitchen and bathroom facilities and open outdoor space.

Let’s spend time on case studies, business ideas and start to build a collaborative group in which we feel supported as practitioners, by our peers.

There is plenty of space to park. Please share cars where possible.

ACCESS: The venue is a working farm and consequently, has aspects which may create challenges for accessibility. The Croft is a short walk uphill on uneven ground from the parking area. The Croft itself is easily accessed and all on one level.

We are a community. Please respect everyone and each other by being kind, courteous and generous. We’re all learning. Please be on time and aim to stay for the whole session. We will lose flow and continuity if people come and go. Thank you.

We propose that our running order looks like this but there will be space for ebb and flow.

Hour 1: Welcome and Business conundrums. Ask questions about how to get your business to the next level, or even getting it started. How to network and market yourself online or in-person. How to find clients. Whether to niche, or not. Email lists. When to begin marketing your business if you’re a student. etc etc. The floor is yours!

Hour 2: Spotlight session: Have you found some great tools, tips, tricks and more that have helped you in your practice. Do you have a specialism you would like to share with us? This is an opportunity for our community to come together and support, bolster and boost each other with the things that have helped us in our practices. Have you created a new product? Would you like us to give you feedback?

Hour 3: Sharing your case studies in a way that is anonymised, respects your patient and enables us, your listeners, opportunity to support and help you. Pre-prepped case info shared in WhatsApp in advance will be helpful so you get more time for advisories and less time spent on explaining.

** PAYMENTS:

  • Save money and get 6 events for an annual payment of £80

  • During the 2 weeks prior to the event date, payment is £15 per person.
